As a huge Skywrath Mage fan myself, I really do enjoy the art on display in both composition and the line art. However, I feel the coloring could be improved. Only a few pieces of the picture have noticeable highlights and everything else seems to only have midtones and soft shadows. Harder shadows and brush strokes and rim highlights (hard highlights especially on the armor pieces) could help have Dragonus pop-out more against the background and composition.

A good example of where this could've helped is near the armor plating on his hip near the bottom left. On an untrained glance the soft shadows of the armor blend into the soft shadows of the background. A rim highlight of light bouncing off would help Dragonus' silhouette not get lost from the viewer's eye.

The armor pieces aside from the bracers have too soft shadows. It makes the armor plating to appear to have the same material as Dragonus' upper shoulder/torso outfit. Adding small highlights on the gold trim as well could make them stand out.

The staff itself, and the small bits of shoulder actually has just the right amount of shadows, midtones, and highlights in it. It should be a good guideline for the rest of the armor pieces.

Overall it's exceptional artwork that could benefit heavily from a few harder brush strokes and highlights. Harder brushstrokes can give harder shadows to help blend in the soft shadows you've already set. Aside from these critiques I still really like the artwork. Pretty much my own Dragonus item loadout too! Keep up the good work!
